Widely regarded as one of the strongest, safest network choices on the island. Orange has a retail store in Saint-Jean, near the airport, and is the backbone most travel eSIM providers connect through here.

This catches people out precisely because it seems like it shouldn't: St. Barts is French, but for roaming purposes it is classed as "Rest of World" by French and EU carriers too, not just US and UK ones. Nobody's home plan gets a discount here.

St. Barts uses standard French numbers: 15 for SAMU, 17 for Gendarmerie, 18 for fire, and 112 as the general European emergency number. Worth noting: 112 works fine for calls here even though EU data roaming does not apply — the two are separate systems.
