Antigua's mountainous interior and southern hills can create genuine dead zones between towers, and Barbuda's coverage is far thinner given its small population, centred mainly around Codrington. Do not rely on it out on the water or the more remote beaches.
💡 Why coverage varies so much
Digicel and Flow both concentrate their towers around St. John's and the tourism corridor, which is where the vast majority of visitors and residents are. Antigua's hilly interior blocks line-of-sight to towers in places, and Barbuda — with a population in the low hundreds — simply does not justify the same tower density. Worth downloading offline maps before a day trip to Barbuda or the southern hills.
